Guy and I were napping comfortably when all of a sudden we were picked up and shoved into that @#$%!!! carrier. Then we were put into Ma's car and taken to the VET, you know that awful place that smells like Dog. It was time for our annual check up. Guy cried the whole way there. I only occasionally yelled out. We both however had "accidents" in our carriers. What can I say? Our VET scares the poop out of us...literally.

Im healthy as a horse. Actually gained a few ounces which is o.k because Guy lost a few so they had to go somewhere right? We are both right around 13 pounds. Then the VET did something awful Im almost to embarrased to say...he shaved my butt! I wasn't having that so I hissed at him. How dare he! Although it has been easier to clean myself I am a bit floofy in the butt area. Unfortunately Guy has to go back next week(shhh don't tell him) and have two more teeth pulled. Sucks to be him. Ma is sad because she tried so hard brushing but he has bad gums and it didn't help his molars. Poor Guy has a real hard time dealing with anything. After our VET visit he spent two hours in the closet hyperventilating so next week should be interesting.

Im just glad to be home. Think I will finish up that nap I was so rudely interrupted from earlier.

We have mentioned our Kitty Closet before in previous posts and even showed a picture of our cool new kitty door but we have never showed the inside of our closet until now. It is a large storage closet that is carpeted and turns underneath our staircase in back. Ma thought it made a perfect kitty hideaway So she put up some pictures(all cat related of course) and our food and litters around back. Are we spoiled? Absolutely!

We Are Back

We finally convinced Ma to get off her lazy behind and Blog. Summer's over it is time to catch up with things in the Blogosphere! We hope everyone had a nice summer. We had lots of days filled with critter watching and sun bathing. Ma also had some work done in the house which we didn't care so much for. Nothing is worse than having strange people in our house except when Ma put us in her bedroom TOGETHER. Being put in the room so we stay safe while people are working is one thing, but having to spend all day with that stinky boy Guy is yet another. Im still not over it. The most exciting thing we got was a new kitty door for our kitty closet! Now Ma doesn't have to keep the door open all the time and Guy is not able to slam the door closed just for fun anymore. HA HA! We are posting a picture of our cool new door to show everyone. Guy and I give it 2 paws up.

Summer Break

Whoa it has been awhile since we last posted! Sorry about that. Now that the nice weather is here Ma has been busy in her garden and doing outside stuff so not much time to Blog. Nothing exciting is happening here anyway. We will be back in the Fall once the cooler weather is here and we can force Ma to start Blogging again! We are sorry for not blogging too much lately. No good excuse Ma has been lazy. I keep telling her to teach me how to use the mouse...come on its a MOUSE a kitty has to be good at using that right? Anyway......

Today is Man Cat Monday. Man Cats are supposed to be Big, Strong and Brave. Well, Guy's got the Big and Strong part down. The brave not so much. He is afraid of EVERYTHING. Today the lawn people were here with their big, noisy trucks so Guy went running to hide under the bed. It is a wonder how he ever survived a life out on the streets before he found Ma. He has been with us spoiled rotten for 5 years. He is a stinky boy.

7 Things Meme

The great kitties over at The Cat Realm tagged us for a Meme. We are supposed to write 7 things about us. So here we go!

1. Sultanfus- Is very attached to her Ma and gets jealous when Guy gets too much attention.

Guy- Loves anyone who will scratch his butt.

2. Sultanfus- Has many different moods and expressions. Some days she is extra clingy, others she is aloof, sometimes sweet, sometimes sassy. She can give a great dirty look. Just ask her vet and Guy.

Guy- Is always happy. He is Ma's happy little camper. His usual expression can only be summed up by "Huh?"

3. Sultanfus- Is little miss independent. She will tell you when it is time for love, cuddles, play time etc. Don't try calling her when she isn't in the mood. She is not going to obey.

Guy- Always obedient. Call him and he will come running unless he is already walking in between your legs. He is very passive and just wants to be loved 24 hours a day.

4. Sultanfus- Got her name from the movie "My Girl". Ma always thought it would make a great cat name. Guy- Grandpa named Guy after a Gorilla who was famous in the 60's in England(our English friends might have more info on that!). The name just fit him so well.

5. Sultanfus- Very smart. Seems to understand everything you say and responds appropriately to the point of being scary sometimes.

Guy- He is my "special" boy. Not so smart but very sweet.

6. Sultanfus- is also called "Boo" or "Boo Boo". Guy- is also called "Monkey" or "Little Man"

7. Sultanfus- likes to sleep at night with her Ma. The closer the better. Sometimes Ma wakes up in the middle of the night and Sultanfus is laying nose to nose with her. Guy- Sleeps in his cat bed either in the guestroom or on a blanket chest at the foot of Ma's bed.

Hope all our kitty friends had a good thanksgiving! We were not happy because Ma went away overnight. Sultanfus got upset and threw up all over our kitty closet. Yuck!

Oh Magic water fountain- how we love you! Your water so clean and fresh, the glubby noises you make so entertaining. We love you everyday (not just on Fridays). We thought we would post a picture of our favorite spot. Usually we keep the fountain out on our sun porch but Ma took it in for the winter. It gets cold here in NY! So now our wonderful magic fountain is only inches away from our favorite nap spot. How convenient! If you don't see us on the Kitty Kam then we are usually hanging with the fountain. Ma is trying to put the fountain in the kitty kam room so maybe we will show up more on camera. She claims there is a "space" issue. Guy and I don't really care as long as we have our fountain!!!!!

Tuesday Teeth!

Ma said I could Blog today about an important issue- Kitty Oral Hygiene. Guy and I both had some issues with our teeth. Guy had to have 11 teeth pulled ! So Ma has stepped up our brushing routine to try to save our teeth! Im thrilled because I love to have my teeth brushed. I yell at Ma and run to the bathroom every night demanding to have my teeth done. Ma thinks Im a strange kitty but I just don't want to be toothless- how could I eat my treats without teeth??????? Here is my routine:

First I meow loudly at Ma to tell her it is time to brush. Then I run into the bathroom and show Ma my toothpaste and brush (just in case she forgets).

Then we brush. Don't forget the back teeth!

Job well done. Guy your turn! Where is that boy?

Oh Wait! There he is hiding behind the toilet. Guy is less than thrilled about the teeth brushing routine. Silly boy!

We Are Back!

We took the summer off but now we are back. Not too much news over the summer- just hanging around watching birds, bugs and other critters go by. Ma had some work done on the house which Guy and I didn't like because we had to stay in a room TOGETHER all day. Imagine that. Guy and I went for our annual Vet check up the other day. We are both healthy and doing fine. Guy however gained another pound bringing him to 14 chunky monkey pounds. Im still at 12 pounds. The only big news is that our Kitty Kam site has moved! After 4 years on the same site Ma decided it was time for a change. (Not to mention Earthcam is free!). Please be sure to stop by and check us out!

Guy and I have been busy supervising Grandpa while he paints the Dining Room. It is a tough job to make sure he stays on task and does good work. Ma kept shooing us out of the room because Guy likes to rub on the walls and he was getting paint on him. Now he really is a stinky boy- just wait till Ma tries to wash him! He wont like that at all! On our lunch break we tried to spend time out on the porch but it is still too cold. Ma said that we might get snow tonight! Crazy weather!

We had such a fun day today. It was absoluetly beautiful outside so Ma opened the windows and the porch door. Guy and I sat in every window to inspect it for changes since last year. Then we supervised Ma as she did spring cleaning on the porch. While we were out there Chase the neighborhood kitty stopped by for a visit. We watched him roll around in the grass and chase his tail but I wasn't too thrilled about him being in my yard, so I hissed at him. Later on the neighbors put their dog out back. We watched him very intently until he started barking- at EVERYTHING. This annoyed me so I went back in the house. Im going to sleep well tonight- there was so much to do today I barely took my afternoon nap!

I liked watching the dog outside. I actually stayed on the porch the whole time. Ma was surprised because Im afraid of everything but the dog was ok. I only ran inside when the owner came out to untie the dog. Anyway it was a good day.

We are in the middle of a snow storm here in New York. 18 inches is expected to fall by tomorrow morning! What is crazy is that it was 68 degrees on wednesday! Have no fear Guy and I are snuggling up warm and toasty- I chose my trusty cat bed and Guy chose Ma's robe. Lets hope Ma can find her car buried in all the snow tomorrow!

Finally we are having some nice weather here in NY. The snow is melting, the sun is shining and people and animals are starting to play outside again. Our "friend" Chase the neighborhood kitty came by for a visit. He likes to harrass Guy and I while we are trying to enjoy the sun on the porch. He likes to look into the porch and meow loudly at us. Last time he was here we both got upset and Guy started to growl(which he never does). This time we couldn't care less. Ma made us come inside so that he would move on. As soon as he was gone we both were out there sniffing the air. Here are some pictures of Chase looking into our porch- I think he is just jealous.

Sultanfus was found in a dumpster as a kitten with her sisters and brothers. This could explain why she loves the garbage men so much! She was brought to the Humane Society but had to have some medical treatment because of some skin sores(dumpster living is rough). That is when I met and fell in love with her. I immediately adopted her at 6 weeks old. She will be 5 in June and now lives like a Queen. Who could believe that this beautiful fluffy kitty started life in the trash? No more dumpsters for her!

Ma finally got a digital camera so she can take pictures of us doing things other than what we do on Kitty Kam. We lead very interesting kitty lives you know. Now we will be able to share it all with pictures! Our first picture is Guy and I sitting out on our porch. We have had a couple of nice days so we spent some time hanging out watching the snow melt off the roof. Notice how far apart we sit? I won't let that stinky boy sit too close to me that is for sure!

We have had a rough couple days. Guy had to go to the Vet on Thursday to have his teeth cleaned and had 11 teeth pulled! I can understand because I went last month and had 5 pulled but 11 that is a lot. Guy doesn't handle change or stress well so he took a bit longer to come around. I was even nice to him and let him sit next to me on the couch. He doesn't stink as much now that those bad teeth are gone so maybe just maybe I will let him come close to me. I even let him sit on Ma's lap last night even though that is my spot. See I can be nice.

That mean vet pulled out half my teeth. I didn't feel good so I spent the first night in the closet. By day two I was able to eat again and today I started to play with my sting. Ma keeps trying to give me medicine but Im on to her. She thought that I would be easier to "fool" but I showed her. I see that dropper coming I run for the hills. I will even give up a butt scratch to get away from that medicine. Im slowly getting use to my new gummy mouth.

Long Time

It has been awhile since we posted- sorry. The weather here in NY is getting colder so Guy and I have been finding warm, cozy places to snuggle. My personal favorite is in Ma's fleece robe especially when she is still wearing it! Ma had a face to face encounter with the Yapping Orange Tabby from a few weeks ago. She found out that his name is Chase and more importantly not a stray. Ma said Chase followed her right to the front door and wanted to come inside. He was looking right into our glass door but Guy and I were too busy napping to notice! Can you believe the nerve of that kitty?! He can't live here I'm still not over Guy moving in and that was 4 years ago! We are in full holiday mode- the decorations are up and Guy and I are having a ball sitting on all the gifts. I love the holiday tree. It is not a Christmas tree because we don't celebrate Christmas but Ma loves white lights and the tree has all cow ornaments on it. Every year I pick out one cow that I love and I find creative ways to smack it off the tree. Ma keeps trying to hide it but I always find it. This year I am in love with a ballerina cow. Ma thinks maybe IM over stimulated by the holiday excitement because I keep going into our kitty litter closet and squeaking for no reason( I don't meow like a cat I make squeaky noises like a mouse. Ma thinks it is because I spent the first year of my life living under a house raised by mice). IM having fun!

So there we were out on our screen porch last night enjoying the view when an Orange Tabby comes out of nowhere and stands up on his hind legs looking into our porch door yelling at us. I got a little scared and ran to the house door to get in but Ma closed it because it was cold. Guy hunched down on the ground and was making a weird growling noise. Ma, hearing the commotion opened the door to see what was going on. I ran in for a second but thought better of it (Im nosey and like to see what is happening) so I ran back out onto the porch and hid under a chair. Ma told the kitty to go home but he stayed there on the other side of our door meowing and yelling LOUDLY. Honestly I was more interested in Guy because he was making that scarey growling noise and he never says anything. The Tabby eventually took off into the trees and Guy and I spent the next hour sniffing the air and watching to see if he returns. What excitement!

Im feeling much better now after my adventure at the vet. Seems I don't need those five teeth afterall, Im eating like a champ. Thank you to all my kitty cyber friends for the get well wishes! Today I was feeling so much better that I went back to work on my Kitty Kam Web Site.

This is Guy. I have to Blog today because Sultanfus is out of it. She went to the V -E- T today and had her teeth cleaned. She has bad gums because she had a virus when she was a kitten so the Vet had to pull 5 teeth. She is not acting like herself and Ma said I have to be nice to her and leave her alone until she feels better. I can do that because she smells funny. Ma is busy watching over her until she is better so I guess there will be no butt scratches today.

Back from the Vet

We made it back from our Vet appointment. Our trip there was quite eventful. Ma called it a "Code Brown" situation. Both Guy and I had a little accident in the carrier on the way. I blame nerves Im not usually that stinky...Guy is. I was good in the car(except for my accident) but Guy cried, yelled and hyperventilated the whole time. We got a clean bill of health except for our teeth. Ma said we have to go back and have our teeth cleaned. I know I won't like that at all. I weighed in at 12 pounds and Guy weighed in at 13. Stinky boy gained a pound since last year- Ma thought for sure he would have lost weight in the car with all the pooping, drooling, and yelling he was doing.

I heard Ma on the phone this morning saying "I need to make an appointment for the Kitties". Oh NO! It is that time of year again???? VET checkup. Please tell me it is not so. I hate that place. Ma said maybe this year will be a little different because our Auntie works there so at least we will see a friendly face when we arrive. Although, Auntie and I never really bonded and she calls me "Satan fus" or "Satan Lips" but I guess I can let that slide. Our appointment is next week. Hopefully we will both get a clean bill of health!

Busy

We have had a busy couple of days. First Grandpa came and stayed the night with us because he had to leave his car in the shop to get fixed and Ma was bringing him. Then a couple of strange men showed up at the door with a whole bunch of wood and noisy tools so Guy and I hid under the couch. When they left there was a bookcase in our office. I immediately checked it out and sniffed every bit I could. Even tried to make a jump up into the top shelves but Ma caught me before I could. Guy on the other hand hasn't even noticed it yet. Silly boy. Today is my Ma's birthday so Grandma and Grandpa came back for a visit. Im exhausted with all the activity.

Grandpa stayed overnight so I got to cuddle in bed with him. I got plenty of butt scratches. Then those men came and I spent the day under the couch. Things are back to normal again except something is different and I just can't seem to put my paw on it....

Ma away

Ma went away for a few days. I knew she was going because that suitcase came out. I hate when my Ma goes I get sad. Grandma came to stay with us but I was upset so I kept to myself. Ma left her Pajamas on the bed for me so I slept on them the whole time she was gone. Grandma even tried to give me some chicken but I was too depressed to eat. Ma is back home now and I haven't left her side since she walked in the door. I follow her around because I don't want to loose her again. I love my Ma.

Huh? Ma was gone? Really? I didn't notice I just go cuddle with whoever is here. Grandma was in the guestroom sleeping so I slept there. I go where ever the butt scratches are.
